Dear Nick Falvo:
I would like to take this time to thank you personally for the wonderful home Baycliffe built for us. We went to about 10 other builders before we decided on purchasing a Baycliffe Home. Prior to our decision, we went to almost all your subdivisions (they were numerous) and asked previous homeowners what they thought of their homes. To our surprise, we did not find one unhappy homeowner, it was unbelievable!!! Now that we too are Baycliffe homeowners, we can see why there are no complaints. Your staff is courteous and professional and have done everything possible to satisfy and surpass my expectations. I think I owe it to you, on behalf of myself and my family to thank you and your staff for making this experience a wonderful one.

Dear Patrick,
I have to say that I've written my share of complaint letters in
the past, when I've received poor customer service or when a product
just hasn't lived up to my expectations. So I also believe that
when something works out wonderfully, I am equally obligated to
write a note of thanks, and that's what this is. Though I'd planned
on sending it earlier, it was your article in today's Star that
got me off my couch to write it.
This summer, I was thinking about purchasing a home built by Baycliffe
Homes in Whitby. Everyone I spoke to who had purchased a new home
before had horror stories to tell about their builders, but I really
loved the design of the home itself and the community, and decided
I'd take my chances.
From the absolute start it's been a fabulous experience. The woman
I dealt with at their sales office was always completely straightforward
with me. When I pleaded for an earlier closing date, she encouraged
me to be patient. The house was ready the day our agreement said
it would be.
As I didn't take possession until mid-October, there was no guarantee
that I'd have sod or a paved driveway before the end of the year.
Both have been done. I was concerned about what I thought might
have been a leak in my laundry room early on, and one of the guys
from the site office came over that very morning to check it out
(it was my friend's not-so-great washing machine installation job
rather than anything to do with the house, but he tightened the
washer hose for me and of course it's been fine since).
The builder's representative did a lengthy pre-delivery inspection
with me, and on the few things I'd pointed out a concern with, he
didn't once try to discourage me from listing them. And while there
weren't a lot of concerns, each small thing I'd pointed out has
long been taken care of.
There has not been a single broken promise or commitment from the
moment I signed the deal. No surprises, no last minute nightmares.
To top it off, my home backs on to a park which I'd paid a premium
for, and up until recently was pretty much a big dirt field. I have
to say that I'm 'floored' by how truly beautiful they've made it
in just a few weeks. It's a treat to look out my kitchen window.
So as I said, I've written my share of complaint letters when it's
been appropriate. I wanted as well to register how genuinely thrilled
I have been with Baycliffe, from start to finish.
Sincerely,
A Whitby Homeowner |
